Thank you to the Peninsula Celebration Association for
announcing:
Casa Circulo Cultural de Redwood City
First Place Winner in the Floats - RWC 150 History category!
The 4th of July Parade and Festival in Redwood City is a leading
Independence Day Celebration in the West. Alongside celebrating America’s
birthday, the city of Redwood City was also celebrating its 150th anniversary.
Casa Circulo Cultural participated in the 4th of July Parade
and entered in the Floats - RWC 150 History category. The many talented volunteers
of Casa Circulo created this amazing float; the construction, design and makeup
completed by them. This float symbolized the 150 years of history and
architecture of the city of Redwood City. Like in a photo album, the parade
spectators were able to appreciate the vivid living images in black and white
from the past and the colorful images to present-day.
We received various compliments from the public and we owe a
big THANK YOU to all who worked so hard to make this float a realization; a special
recognition and thank you to Fernando Escartiz, the talented artist who
designed this float and brought it to life. Fernando is currently in charge of
all the construction and designing for Casa’s stage sets for theatre
performances and other events we attend.
