Kermes - Dia del Niño 2017

This year Casa Circulo Cultural’s very own Founder and Director, Veronica Escamez, was thrilled to be asked to be a part of the Latino Community Council of Redwood City (LCCR). LCCR, in partnership with the Redwood City Library Foundation organized the fifth annual Kermes 2017 - Dia del Niño to raise funds for the Early Childhood Learning Center in Fair Oaks Library.

This event was held on April 30th, 2017 from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM at the Fair Oaks Branch Library- 2510 Middlefield Road.

The public was able to enjoy games for children, music & theater, Ballet Folklorico, food, arts & crafts, community information and much more!

Casa Circulo was not only proud of Veronica, but excited to have a face-painting booth and a free kids activity booth! Many kids enjoyed getting their faces painted by our very own Casa members. Our members also directed the arts and crafts kids activity table, and we can’t thank them enough.

Thank you to all of the volunteers and parents that support Casa Circulo every day! They are always there rooting for our kids and lending a helping hand.

SOME of our valued volunteers and members.
Now…

Lets all congratulate the real stars of the afternoon: Casa Circulo’s children!
They performed a theater piece called La Asamblea de los Ratones (The Assembly of the Mice), which they practiced long and hard. The teachers also worked tirelessly to help the kids learn their lines, prepare their dances and perform!
La Asamblea de los Ratones
The kids also got to show off their new skills at playing the Recorder! They played 4 songs and we couldn't be prouder. (The recorder class is led by Javier Pacheco on Saturdays from 2:00pm-3:00pm)

GREAT JOB TO EVERYBODY INVOLVED, YOU MADE CASA CIRCULO PROUD!

AND THANK YOU KERMES 2017 FOR SUCH A FUN EVENT!
